Journaling was always something I felt I should do, but struggled to maintain—until 2022, when I discovered oracle and tarot cards alongside it. Pulling a card became the catalyst I needed, each one aligning in meaningful ways and inspiring reflection.
Over time, my practice deepened. I began using multiple decks and creating yearly spreads, letting each month’s card guide reflection and intuition. Even challenging cards became opportunities to look inward, release what no longer served me, and grow.
Affirmations added another layer of awareness, and learning about the science behind journaling deepened my appreciation. Writing by hand engages the brain in a way similar to meditation, making it both a reflective and grounding practice.

Together, we draw a card for each month of the year, as well as a card representing the theme for the entire year. These spreads can be created on a birthday, at the New Year, during a solstice, on an anniversary, or anytime that signifies a new beginning for you. For each month, we compose an affirmation that embodies the energy and message of the card. The meaning and description of each card serve as valuable tools for journaling, reflection, and actionable steps throughout the coming months.
In this 90-minute session, we begin with a guided meditation followed by the yearly card spread. You'll leave with written affirmations for each month and can take photos of the cards and guidebook descriptions.
